Aimee’s Plan

Safer Streets:

A Renewed New Orleans Police Department, Better Lighting, Less Blight, and an Accountable Justice System. We need to continue to rebuild our law enforcement operations with more civilians, more technology like police reports taken over zoom, and more services like crisis response. We also need to maintain our lights and knock down blight to prevent havens for criminals.

Safety also means holding the Judges, the District Attorney and the Sheriff accountable. Aimee is a budget expert - she knows how to hold their feet to the fire and make sure they wisely spend our City Tax dollars to enable faster, more reliable justice and safer streets.

Aimee knows how Councilmembers can make our streets safer.

Workforce and Economy:

Job Opportunites to rebuild our city and end permiting nightmares by rebuilding the City’s ability to maintain and repair its assets while modernizing systems to match 21st century standards. Too much of our city is broken or poorly maintained - and the City can do so much more if we demand more of the Administration and our leadership.

Our public works department must be capable of quickly fixing a traffic light or repairing a street - and people shouldn’t suffer while we wait for contractors to eventually do the job. Other parishes, like neighboring Jefferson can do this. Why can’t we?

We will with Aimee’s leadership.

Local Council Offices:

A satellite Council Office near you where you can get answers quickly from your Councilmember and her staff. Getting down to City Hall is difficult and often impossible for working people and families. Whether its a permit or a pothole, Councilmembers exist not just to take your calls, but to meet with you and solve your problems.

Why shouldn’t your district Councilmember have a local office in her district to hear from you and answer your questions on site?

When Aimee is your Councilmember, you will.
